Cairo Ring Road

Cairo Ring Road is a photographic survey looking at the built environment from the city's Ring Road. It is an archive of an ongoing social, economic, environmental, and housing crisis, in the years leading to and beyond the Jan25 Revolution. Cairo Ring Road documents informal settlements, middle-income housing, government-built social housing, vacant spaces, massive construction sites, newly built gated upscale desert compounds and a vast unmaintained infrastructure.
